General Concept:

• You will receive one playing card when you arrive.

• Various rules and games will be used to match you with a partner as shown below and posted next to the DJ table.

• At the end of the milonga, random groups of five will be created to form various poker hands.  Five minutes will be allowed for each group to try and improve their hand by trading cards with other groups. Each member of the group with the best “standard” poker hand will win one of the following:

Prizes vary from year to year but in the past have included:

• Full Pass or Milonga Pass to ValenTango 2028

• Full Pass for one person to BurningTango 2028

• Full Pass for one couple to BurningTango 2028

• 3 nights free room at the DoubleTree for ValenTango 2028

• Full Pass to Tucson Tango Festival 2027

1. Same color suit

2. Opposite color suit

3. Same Suit

4. Speed Shuffle

5. Spades & Hearts together and Diamonds & Clubs together

6. Diamonds & Spades together Clubs & Hearts together

7. Roulette Shuffle

8. Odd numbers dance with even numbers

9. Prime numbers dance with non-primes

10. Same value card (ignoring suit)

11. Waterfall Shuffle

12. Same color suit

13. Opposite color suit

14. Same Suit

15. Speed Shuffle
